Active - Anyone with an interest in ophthalmic photography may apply to become an Active member. Active members are voting members and may hold office in the Society. Benefits of membership include: a membership certificate, membership pin, a subscription to The Journal of Ophthalmic Photography, notification of all OPS sponsored educational programs, discounts on initial CRA and OCT certification fees, notification of new electronic newsletter postings to the web site, and the opportunity to participate in the Annual Scientific Exhibit Photo Contest. The annual membership fee is $99.00.
Student - Any person enrolled in a post-secondary, college, or a degree-based educational program shall be considered for student membership upon submission of an appropriate application to the Membership Office, and A COPY OF A VALID STUDENT IDENTIFICATION CARD. Student membership is limited to two (2) consecutive years for any individual. Renewal will require the same proof of student eligibility. Student members are entitled to all of the privileges of active membership, except those of holding office, making motions and voting. The annual membership fee is $50.00.
Retired - Any person who has been an OPS member for at least ten (10) consecutive years and has retired shall be considered for retiree membership upon submission of an appropriate application. Retiree members shall be entitled to all of the privileges of active membership, except those of holding office, making motions and voting. The annual membership fee is $50.00.
Sustaining -Appropriate for companies/businesses with products or services associated with ophthalmic photography. A written request for Sustaining Membership must be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval prior to submitting the application form. Benefits include: a membership certificate and pin (only given on initial membership), a subscription to The Journal of Ophthalmic Photography, notification of new electronic newsletter postings to the web site, listing in a special section in the OPS membership directory, one complimentary set of mailing labels per membership year, opportunities to provide support for the Midyear and Annual Educational Programs, and company listing on the OPS home page including email and web site links. Sustaining members are non-voting members, and may not hold office in the Society. The annual membership fee is $250.00.
